Crossroads was One of FIVE Competitors for Two Slots Licenses

The Decision was made Dec 20, 2006 by the Pa Gaming Control Board. The licenses were awarded to Bethlehem (Las Vegas Sands Bethworks) and to Mt Airy Lodge in the Poconos.

Do they Have a Chance?  5 competitors for two stand alone sites:

Poconos Resort area off Rt. 80
      Mt. Airy Lodge, Mount Pocono, which closed in 2001 to be renovated for $300 million. Lead investor Louis DeNAples; collects motorcycles,connected to PGCB via Conaboy.
     Pocono Manor Greg Matzel wants to invest $1.5 Billion to modernize 103 year old 250 room hotel to 5000 slot casino and a destination resort with multiple amenities on 300 acres. 
    

Allentown /  Bethlehem
      Sands Bethworks Now $890 million renovation of old Bethlehem Steel Works. Led by Bethworks Now and Las Vegas Sands, owner of Venetian Casino. The favorite among analysts.
     Allentown Isle of Capri Casino. Cost unknown.
     Aztar Corp, (Tropicana) East Allentown, Agere Systems site, recently purchased.
