A Casino in Gettysburg? It just doesn't fit...and the people agree.

It is inappropriate to place a 5000 slot machine adult entertainment business one mile from hallowed ground, at the main entrance into Gettysburg.  We aren't opposing all gambling, or even all casinos. We have ONE Goal: No Casino Gettysburg.

Please help our grass roots group battle the big money and muscle of Crossroads and their investor, Morgan Stanley.

The Battle is now over Straban Township Zoning, where Crossroads  is fighting local officials legally. It's also in our local organizations, like the Chamber of Commerce and the Gettysburg Borough Council. The Battle has been dividing our community since April 2005!

CROSSROADS WON"T DEBATE, (or even have a public meeting!) so we have a VIRTUAL DEBATE on this site.

CASINO WILL BE VISIBLE from Culps Hill in the Gettysburg National Military Park

LeVan testified under oath that the casino would not be visible even from Culps Hill Tower. Crossroads brochures make the same point. Click on the photo to the left. This is the current view from Culps Hill Tower, showing Gateway Gettysburg and behind it, on an outparcel of the casino property, the new 4 story hotel under construction. The casino garage will be 5 stories and the entire casino complex will be clearly visible from Culps Hill, just to the left of the new hotel and extending well beyond this photo to the left.
